Our Perspective

Brookshore.com in my PremiumBrands selection and my thinking about developing a business on the web.

I founded PremiumBrands.com as a place to present selected names and the businesses people might imagine around them. Brookshore.com draws my attention because it can introduce an identity with a sense of place. The question for me is how that impression would connect with the actual experience offered.

PremiumBrands.com

The address and the business together

My view of names includes the experience of acquiring i-Newswire.com in 2007 and upgrading the business to Newswire.com in 2015. That work made me attentive to the way an address belongs to a company’s identity. The name should remain useful as the business is explained.

For a place-like name, I think about what happens after someone hears it. A visitor may want to know where it is, what they can do there and whether it suits their plans. The appeal of the word needs to be followed by information that answers those questions.

Making a place understandable online

Brookshore leaves room for a founder to choose a setting and a specific audience. The online presentation could begin with the details that guide a visit or booking. Clear photographs and straightforward descriptions help someone judge the offer more than an elaborate statement about atmosphere.

AI can make it easier to prepare a first website or test how information is arranged. That interests me as a way for more people to explore an online business. For a hospitality or community idea, the prototype is useful when it helps reveal what a visitor still needs to know.

The studio supporting my work

OnlineBusiness.com, my strategy and development studio, supports the presentations behind PremiumBrands. The studio is part of how I approach turning ideas into something people can assess. PremiumBrands remains the offering brand for the domain and the place to discuss acquisition.
